There is a WINN DIXIE grocery store approximately 2/3 mile north of us on A1A on the east side.   Or you can take a FREE shuttle bus to the Coral Ridge Mall at the intersection of Oakland Park Blvd and Federal Hwy (US 1) where you will find another supermarket, PUBLIX , located just outside this small mall.    Of course, there is a convenience store on 33 rd Avenue just 5 blocks north of the Sandra Lee Inn, and a WALGREEN'S pharmacy and liquor store on the NW corner of A1A and Oakland Park Blvd.

While at the CORAL RIDGE MALL you can find bargains at TARGET, MARSHALL's and TJ MAXX .

The GALLERIA MALL http://www.galleriamall-fl.com/about/about.html located on Sunrise Boulevard just west of the Inter coastal bridge is a full-size mall with major anchor stores such as SAK'S FIFTH AVENUE, DILLARD'S, NEIMAN MARCUS and MACY'S.   Make sure you stop by the food court for a great lunch...it's unlike most others and you will be pleasantly surprised.    Fine dining options are also available.

On to the bargains.   SAWGRASS MILLS http//www.sawgrassmillsmall.com is located roughly 25 miles west, so you will need a car.   The variety and number of stores is stupendous and you are sure to find good prices at this outlet center.

Closer to your home away from home is LAS OLAS BOULEVARD http://www.lasolasboulevard.com/, the "Rodeo Drive" of Fort Lauderdale.   Filled with dozens of unique shops and galleries, it is a beautiful and fun place to go shopping.   Everything from antiques, art, glass, upscale clothing, gourmet chocolate and more.   Make sure to visit this shady street reminiscent of "old Fort Lauderdale" that leads from the beach into the rapidly expanding downtown area.
