  BEACHES - In case you need more sun 'n surf time, here are two local favorites. John U. Lloyd Beach State Park - For a small entrance fee you can enjoy a state preserve with
picnic areas, groves of trees that go right down to the water, an artificial reef and much more.

  EVERGLADES AIRBOAT RIDES - The Everglades are not a swamp, but actually a huge, slow-moving river with tremendous importance to our local ecology.   Home to several indigenous tribes and a wide array of flora and fauna, we highly recommend a day trip this significant natural resource.   Several tour operators offer airboat rides as well as the chance to see live alligators in their natural habitat, native American Indian villages and much more.   Come visit the "River of Grass".
